He Stands Up for Residents

He keeps the people who live and work here at the centre of every decision.
Examples include:
  • Supported housing for families and workers (including 179 non-profit rental homes at North Shore Neighbourhood House Phase 2), the Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre, the Silver Harbour redevelopment, Mahon child care, and investments in Topo, Eastview, and Eastern parks.
  • He opposed a development proposal because of concerns about displaced residents.

  • Advocated for rapid transit (a provincial responsibility), balanced transportation solutions, improved pedestrian safety, better traffic flow, and considered congestion and off-street parking impacts when making decisions.

  • Called for an independent public inquiry into the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant cost overruns. He also signed and promoted a grassroots petition calling for more accountability and transparency within Metro Vancouver.
